I hope the search for more addons will be updated (categories and so on), but so far, it looks really good. The exe has 99mb - but still better then the 400 twitch-client, yes -) And you don't need any account to use it, feels nice and lightweight but powerful. This way it's able to manage ElvUI on top of all the other addons from curseforge. Plus, it's able to use different libraries, like the one from TukUI. It is pretty intimidating, but you can find profiles to help.I love the fact that it's only <1 MB instead of the 400 MB Twitch Client has. I would say a similar thing about setting up ElvUI for the first time as well. Fortunately, you can get some help with setting up Plater by downloading other players’ profiles. On the other hand, setting Plater up to leverage its features is much more complex and intimidating. Setting up Kui and Threat Plates is also pretty easy as well. Their menus are easy to navigate, and changing styles with themes is straightforward. If you are new to nameplate addons, TidyPlates and NeatPlates provide the most user-friendly starting point. Unfortunately, some require more setup to get the most out of them. It will will really help get rid of many addons that tend to cause issues every now and then, (elvui included) Comment by Kinnsugi on T01:56:41-05:00. Once you have installed the addons, they should all work out-of-the-box. If you don’t know how to use an addon manager or install addons, check out my Addon Installation Guide. Installing the addons is easy and can be done with an addon manager. I wanted to know how easy it was for someone new to the addon to get started. It covers many of the same points and shows what the nameplates look like in the addons. If you are more of a visual person, you should check out the video I made for this article. If you are playing Burning Crusade Classic, you can use all of them except Tidyplates. If you aren’t familiar with it, ElvUI is a total UI replacement that has become very popular over the years.Īll 6 of these addons can be used in Shadowlands. Just ElvUI, Spartan UI, PallyPower, ya’ll folks are much loved by your userbase And players, don’t forget to get your addons. We don’t need any advanced in depth boss WA packs. While ElvUI is not a nameplate addon, I felt it was essential to include it because many players use it for their UI. Just a reminder addon writers, people are gonna LOVE YOU TO DEATH if you have your stuff prepped and ready within 24-48 hours of release <3. ElvUI adds many improvements that would normally. There’s no surprise that ElvUI/Tukui are one of the best and most popular addons. These addons are complete UI overhauls, making the game look completely different. I chose the most popular nameplate addons I could find, which included: ElvUI and Tukui are fantastic options for people who want of lot of additions to their UI, but only want to download one addon. To help you, I put 6 of them to the test to find out what the best nameplate addon is. Included in default ElvUI v8.37 Added EmptyBars on Focus, TargetTarget, Pet, Raid. This means the best option is to use a nameplate addon. The addons can have that option, but I'm looking for features to integrate into the base ElvUI with their own settings menu in the ElvUI menu, instead of needing a new profile or setup as I'm really happy with the setup I've manually created. Unfortunately, the default Blizzard nameplates leave a lot to be desired. Not Requesting full UI overhauls, or ones which just entirely overwrite the base ElvUI setup. Nameplates are one of the most important parts of a good user interface in WoW.
